Duplicate payment error

Hi. I'm trying to pay the remainder of my bill but I keep getting a "duplicate payment" error. I have another person autorized on the account who's already paid their half. I'm not sure if this is why I can't get it to work? Any help is appreciated. It's been happening for the past two days.

I know this post is months old, but if anyone else lands here, I had this issue and was able to get the second half of my bill paid by changing the amount by a few cents. It was annoying, but at least my bill got paid. I wasn't really willing to spend an infinite amount of time chatting with customer service, so it worked for me. A few cents credit on the account doesn't hurt me.

Hi Zethara. Thanks for posting about this. Yes, our system is built with a safeguard to prevent accidental duplicate payments from being made. (Mostly due to internet / browser issues). Changing that amount is the solution! Even if just by a penny.

This is BS.  Comcast had no problem taking two exact payments of $240.13 from me.  Still fighting to get it corrected.
