We have called Comcast several times looking to downgrade our service but we are told in order to do this we have to pay what the RETAIL price would be since apparently downgrading your service is NOT AN OPTION!  I feel this is unfair and they are basically asking us to switch to another service like dish or direcTV.  I don't want to do that, but they never offer to let me speak to customer retention or anyone higher up.  I feel like we've been loyal to Comcast for years and years and have left over our bill going higher and higher in the past....they just don't care.  What can we do?  Does anyone out there have any ideas?  Our bill is almost $300 a month now.  We rarely watch the premium channels and that is all we are asking to have removed, they just won't do it without charging us MORE.
