Billing issue

I signed up in January 2017 for a promotional offer for Internet and TV. I was assured in conversation that this rate would apply for 12 months, and I received an immediate email detailing the new rate. About two months later, my bill was jacked up by $25. What gives? I called into customer service, but got shuffled around and became even more frustrated at having to retell this story to people repeatedly. I really cannot understand how a company can continue to blatantly lie to its customers, especially when the customer has proof of the transaction.
