Billing Promotions -- are EXISTING, LONG TERM customers ever valued?

Have been a Comcast customer in the Chicagoland and Nashville market for over 15 years. Moved relatively recently and was eligible for a two year promo which has now expired. Tried calling Comcast to find another special but to no avail. To add insult to injury, we reguarly get direct mail pieces offering specials to NEW customers, but we are not eligible for them. Why is this? I'm about to switch to RCN and get their "new" customer specials. Would really like reasonable pricing (or at least the same as I had) and would like to be valued as a LOYAL, EXISTING customer.
