Does anyone know why comcast still bills for service after you cancel it? I have a confirmation as of Feb 28 saying that i cancelled my high speed internet and my rate should have gone down from 89.95 to 49.95. But my March Bill still charging me $89.95. When i check my services on the website it says i am recieving high speed internet for $89.95.

 

I dont know why there is a disconnect between the e-mail confirmation of change of service and the bill, but apparently it was up to me to confirm they're the same? Seems like a very deceptive thing to tell a customer one thing over the phone (and confirm via email!) but still bill you the same amount.

 

Browsing these forums, this seems to be common business practice for comcast. 

 

Best case scenario, is that Comcast has poor internal controls and is making honest mistakes. Worst case, its a deceptive business practice meant to derive extra revenue at the expense of its customers.
