$15 Blast! Speed Increase Removal Request

I also did not request a speed increase, and just noticed the last bill and the pending bill have a line item for "Speed Increase Blast Internet" at $15? I don't recall asking for this - I don't even know what it's specifically about?

 

Can I PM my account number also?

Hi blautens,

 

The speed increase upgrades your internet to Blast (75 Mbps/10 Mbps). Without the speed increase you would receive Performance internet (25 Mbps/5 Mbps). If you would like to remove the speed increase off your account, please reply directly this message.

Your package includes Blast, so you would have to change your entire package if you want to downgrade your internet speed.

I just need the minimum internet, telephone, and tv.

It is currently ~$200 including the 'bundle discount' and I barely use it at all.

 

So if you can repackage for less, with the slowest internet and the fewest chanels and phone that would be great.

Call comcast and ask for customer retension.  Chances are you dont need everything they are charging you for.  Did you know you can
also purchase your own modem?   As to phone try Magic Jack.   Much cheaper then comcast.  Search the internet for it.

Hello ex_comcustomer,

 

I apologize for any confusion, as we certainly do not want to lose you as a valued customer. The Blast! increase has been on your billing statement since 11/30/2015. Your original promotional pricing was $39.99 a month for 12 months, where your internet service was $29.99 of that cost and your upgrade to Blast! was the other $10.00 of this cost, which was printed on your billing statements. After your promotion expired, your services went back to every day pricing, causing your Blast! upgrade to go to the standard $15.00. If you would like to remove this and downgrade your internet speed, please let me know.

I would like this removed from my account as well.

 

My speed increases just went from 100mbps to 200mbps and as much as I love speed, with the new caps forcing me to reduce the amount I stream and enjoy digital content as a whole I'll never use it. So the 75-100mbps included in my base plan is plenty.

I was just hit with a $13 Speed Increase fee on my latest bill. Also there was a $9.96 credit on my bill that isn't there anymore. Is this something you could help clear up? Will PM you my name and account number. Thanks!

I have reviewed your account and see that you have always had the Blast! Internet Service. This service was on a promotional offer listed as Blast! Internet. Since the promotion has expired, the service is listed as the everyday rate for the XFINITY Performance, with the actual speed listed on a separate line. We can go ahead and remove the Blast! Speed Increase, however please keep in mind, this will decrease your internet speed to the XFINITY Performance level (25 Mbps/5 Mbps). Please let me know the effective date for this change to occur.

Hello, I didn't request any blast too service either, and that costs me $30 per months. All I been used is Auto pay for my bill, and I just found out today. I literally pay $110 every month and I only use 2GB per month!
