tv on the go work while travel international

My son is studing in Europe, while on wifi in his dorm he cannot access Xfinity TV through our account - getting message that it is "out of the region".  Help!

It will only work in the U.S.

 

International Viewing

XFINITY TV programs cannot be streamed outside of the United States. However, programs downloaded to your mobile device can be viewed offline anywhere, even while you're in other countries.

You cannot stream while out of the country.

How is this a good idea? The point of streaming is to take it with you. Does Xfinity have something against travel outside the US?

Comcast doesn't care, but the networks do.

No, but networks charge extra for International rights, and Comcast doesn't like to pay extra.
