TV App . . . does Not view in landscape mode

TV App . . . does Not view in landscape mode

Whenever I turn my android 5.5" phone sideways to watch fullscreen, all I can see is the INFO.

When I try to close "INFO", just rebuffers to episode list.

 

All I can do is watch in Portrait mode, and see a tiny screen,since all the nonsense-INFO fills the screen.

 

The INFO screen, will not go away . . this APP is terrible.

 

Does anyone know . . "how to get rid of INFO" ?

What kind of phone? What version of Android? Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Yes, I provided a sample.

The "Impractical Jokers" (sample-video) Screenshot, "from a different provider",works perfectly in wide-screen(landscape-mode).

 

Is anyone else having a problem with the INFO page filling the screen?

or is there anywhere I should be looking for a certain setting ?

 

Like I have said:

a. when I try to load TV,no wide-screen,just INFO

b.when I try to close INFO,the TV show closes and goes to bottom of screen,to re-open?

 

I have tried both standard and HD channels,same result.

 

any help much appreciated

I understand your issue, but like I said, did you check your phone Settings, and look under Display for something called "Auto Rotate" or "Rotate Screen". Not sure what it would be on your phone. My phone definitely goes full screen when rotated to Landscape mode using the TV app.

 

What app were you using for the "different provider" that did work? Maybe there is a setting in the that particular app. The Xfinity TV app definitely has no setting for switch view mode, and relies on the phone settings themselves.

Yes, I re-checked the setting,and Yes I do believe the other App converted settings.

I unInstalled it, and re-set factory settings, and my Xfinity App is working correctly.

It seems correct ,so far.

Wide-Screen is working ,the way it is supposed to work . . . perfectly.

my fault on this issue,nothing wrong on Xfinity side,or Xfinity App.

 

It looks like it was a bug in something I did.
