Streaming/Download Issues on Xfinity Stream App

I'm experiencing a few issues using the new Xfinity Stream App, and since customer service is generally unhelpful, I figured why not post here.

 

Issue 1: I can't download DVR recordings onto my device. I haven't been able to every since I got Cloud DVR. The download starts, gets about 1-2% in and then I get a "download interrupted" notification and it fails. I reached out to someone at Comcast about this, they said they'd look into it and get back with me, then proceeded to never get back with me.

 

Issue 2: Streaming on the app is hit or miss for me. I never had an issue on the old version of the app, but this one is weird for me. Example - I try to watch a DVR'ed HBO movie on my Android tablet and it doesn't go 10 seconds without buffering. Annoying! The I watched a DVR'ed recording of The Walking Dead and it was fine - no issues at all.

 

Would appreciate any insight as I really, really want to start using what this app offers!
