The xfinity TV app (soon to be renamed Stream app) will run on most iOS and android smart dvices and is available using a browser to https://tv.xfinity.com/

Some TVs that have Roku can access the same type of menu with x1 while in the beta testing.

Samsung TV's do NOT run IOS or Android.

Also, the Xfinity TV app does NOT run on most Adnroid TV devices, only tablets and phones.

Re: Samsung TV Models

When the time comes just try the app. If it works, your a lucky guy.

If not, then you already know the reason.

I am looking to buy a new TV, so I want to ensure it works before I buy.

Re: Samsung TV Models

Maybe after the app comes out in a few days someone with a Samsung TV might answer you question. I don.t happen to need, or want a X1 box to use apps on broadband. I use their linear cable (Cisco RNG 150N) and ON DEMAND (cable) for my needs. They have been relatively trouble free over the years.

My 2015, 65 inch, Samsung 3D UHD, 7500 series curved television serves my needs. It has all the apps listed that Samsung knows are compatible, and you can search and check out yourself other apps on the market. Getting any quality brand of smart tv opens up your options for 1080p and 4K programing, Depending where you live your have more choices now then just: OTA, cable, or satellite.

Did you get an answer to your question?

I don't see the app available in the Samsung Apps store and acessing https://tv.xfinity.com/ through the Samsung browser gives me an error saying the browser is incompatible.
