Kindle fire "an unknown error has occurred during this request"

Just downloaded xfinity tv go app to my kindle fire. When I attempt to log in I get the following error "an unknown error has occurred during this request". I purposely added an incorrect password and get a password error so I know this is not related to the userid/password. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the device you run must be running pretty recent version of android or iOS to properly run the app. there is a thread. If you have an exact model number of your Fire device you might reply with that on this thread so a red-letter specialist can properly respond with detailed information.
