The device name for the XFINITY Stream app is determined by the name you have set up in iOS (the device name) on Apple devices or typed in when first setting up the app on Android devices/web.

To change it on iOS, you would need to go into settings:general on your iOS device and change the name of your iPhone/iPad, then sign out of the Stream app (within settings which looks like a gear icon). On Android/web, you simply sign out from settings (looks like a gear icon) and select a different name when you sign in again.

Well comcastDan that is great for an apple device. Does nothing for the small box device from Comcast. Better correct your reply!!!! Might confuse other people. Small boxes can no longer be changed. Only the X1 box

are you asking about how to rename a set top box? (example: Living Room or Office)
