DVR recordings missing from TV app

DVR recordings missing from TV app

Many of my DVR recordings are only available on the X1 box and missing from my X1 TV app. For instance I have the entire season of Westworld recorded and only two episodes are showing. How does this get solved? I am on vacation and very irritated about this considering the amount of money I'm spending on this package.

I can't verify it, but it sounds like the two episodes are the only ones that are allowed to be viewed while you are not on your home network.

Re: DVR recordings missing from TV app

Thanks Robert but that's not the case. All episodes appear to be available on demand with TV Go option

Cloud DVR keeps the most recent 60 hours worth of content. If there is important content, you should change the recording options to mark them as "Save for 1 Year". Cloud DVR recordings are entirely separate from your physical DVR so if you recently added Cloud to your account older shows may not be available.

The good news is that Westworld is available On Demand to watch in the app from anywhere in the USA. Enjoy your vacation!

Re: DVR recordings missing from TV app

Well...  this 60 hour limitation for accessing DVR contents from the Xfinity TV app comes as a surprise.  The limitation is certainly not made apparent in the app description.  Consequently I have lost the opportunity to download desired recordings to my wifi-only tablet to take on a trip to a signal-free destination, where on-demand streaming is not an option.  The recordings exist on my DVR, but are not among the most recent 60 hours of content.  If this "feature" was described in the app documentation, I could have set my keep-until appropriately.  So much for being able to show off Xfinity goodness to my travel partners!

Sorry for the confusion and frustration. You can read more about Cloud DVR in our FAQ help article:

Too much detail to fit into an App Store description, unfortunately.
