Additional users for Home app access

I see a post from 2 years ago that states there is work in progress to allow access to Home from more than one user... when will this be available?  it's not at all secure to share my password, even with members of the family - as it's the same as my email etc...  this seems like quite the security flaw in the design for a security system...  What is the expected time for this?   thanks.

Hi heidileigh - 

 

I understand your concern.  At this time, we only support sign in to the XHome mobile apps with one email address.  Since this is your personal email address, I can update your account to link it to another @comcast.net email address that you are comfortable sharing with your family.  If you'd like to go this route, please PM me.

I am interested in the work-around necessary to let my wife have access to Xfinity Home from her iPhone.  Please let me know how to accomplish this.  Thank you.

Hi Willie133 - 

 

Currently the Xfinity Home mobile apps only support sign in with the email address that is the primary on the Xfinity Home account.  At this time, to allow your wife access, you can share those credentials with her.  Alternatively, we can update your Xfinity Home account to use a different @comcast.net email address that you are comfortable sharing with her.

 

Feel free to Private Message me if you'd like me to help update your account to a different email address & I can help you with that.  Private Messages can be accessed by clicking on the Envelope Icon in the upper right hand corner of any forums page.  Alternatively, you can click on my ComcastRachelH forums username in red & then click on the "Private Message Me" link on my profile page.
