Did Comcast send out the e-mail regarding constantguard and how to install it, or is constantguard a hoax to which I should not respond?

It appears Comcast has been on a major marketing scheme with Constant Guard Protection Suite:

 

http://xfinity.comcast.net/constantguard/?cid=NET_33_640  and I have received emails in regards to such protection being available.

 

First it is an option (and FWIW, not one I would choose), but everyone has to make up their own minds as to installing it or not.  The GuidedID portion of the Suite has caused problems for some.

 

You can read other topics abuot the CGPS on this board and decide for yourself if installation is for you.

 

Personally, I am very happy with just the Norton Security Suite portion installed.  You can get it here:
