I have an Xfinity router TG862/CT and when i click on "list internet connections, I see my HOMEBxxx Secured Internet Connection. BUT ALSO I SEE "Xfinity" as an open internet connection. So apparently anyone can access my computer if they can get the router signal here in my condo building!  How can i secure this Xfinity internet connection that also serves as the internet connection for my TV??

BTW I am using this Xfinity connection right now and not my usual HOMEBxxx connection.

No. They are separate systems / service flows. Anyone on the public hotspot can not access your private hotspot or anything on your LAN. You can not "secure" the public hotspot as it is not meant to be secured, nor need it be. You can have it turned off however if you prefer that.
