I removed the antivirus that came with my laptop.

I downloaded Norton from the xfinity page

Norton rau for 20 minutes and then said that it wasn't activated and quit.

Now Norton keeps remonding me that it is not activated.

My only option seems to be to give Norton a "pin".

Getting a "pin"is not mentioned on the xfinity Norton page.

Should I need a "pini"if I am an xfinity customer?

How do I get a "pin

Hi lucky8888,

Since it appears you have already installed the Norton Security Suite (NSS), you shold be able to lcoate your PIN as follows:

Your PIN number is stored in Norton Security_PIN.txt in the following location:

In Windows 10/8/7/Vista: C:\Users\Users Name\My Documents\Symantec\Norton Security_PIN.txt
In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\Symantec\Norton Security_PIN.txt

The reference that geek46 provided is valid, although it was mentioned since NSS had not been installed in that situation.

Yes you do need a PIN even though you are a Comcast Customer.  FWIW, the retail versions of Norton use a 25 digit product key, while the ISP provided Norton products require a 13 digit PIN.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
