WARNING supportnex

[ Edited ]

Attempted scam by Supportnex, comcast directed me to call them for support on Norton License issue. After getting remote access to my pc, Directing me to <Removed Potentially Harmful Link>, looking around at my processes. He's like OH! look at those running, after some more looking he says I "need" a tech to look at the system for 4hrs. A screen pops up with a $299 fee if I want to start. Told him no! Then the screen changes to $199, still no! then $79 for a one time look. Still no! Then he goes back to the norton download page, Where the PIN is was needing was at. he then copied that pin and pasted into the norton activation screen. Norton worked. How is XFINITY direction customers to a support scam site? Number given to me by Xfinity 866-341-5069.
