Two Step Verification

Hi,

I had been trying during the last 4 months to activate the Two Step Verification after my account was hacked. When I entered the mobile phone number, I was always getting this message: "Verification code not sent. Something has gone wrong, please try again."

I called xFinity/Comcast several times until I reached Tier #3, who told me that an engineer will call me within 72 hours to resolve the issue. That was on 21st September and nobody called me. Any help from the group will be appreciated.

Since the mobile number text messaging is not working, xFinity/Comcast should at least activate the Google Authenticator as a Two Step Verification. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Renato

Hi renatouid,

I'll be the first to admit that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to this area.  The following link I am sure you have read and are aware of:

https://www.xfinity.com/support/account/enroll-2-step-verification/

As I read through that info and they mentioned adding a secondary account, I had a thought as to if you are using your Comcast Primary Account to set this up and if that account has administration privileges?

 I have escalated this thread.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
