Have you tried a full uninstall/reinstall using the Norton Remove/Reinstall tool??

Why do you regularly turn your PC off/on (especially if it does the same thing every time)? Ignoring your Norton issue for a moment, have you ever considered putting it to sleep or using hibernation?

KaDeb,

After you reinstall it, does the installation request a PIN to activate it or does it do it automatically?  The key to this may be a situaton we had a while ago with certain PIN's not being probably reistered in the data base.  I can get someone from Norton to check this out if you will PM me your PIN - do not post your PIN on the open forum.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
