Norton Anti Virus

[ Edited ]

Is there a way to install  Norton Anti Virus ONLY and keep Windows Firewall instead of Norton taking over and disabling Windows 7 Firewall. I don't need or want all the other bloat that comes with Norton, just the Anti Virus.

Re: Norton Anti Virus

Hi ttjj69,

Short answer is NO!  Norton no longer sells Norton Antivirus (NAV) by itself without a firewall.

Have you tired Norton after 2009?  Norton was bloatware prior to that, but it has become much more leaner and faster every year since 2009.  I have been using Norton since the 2009 change and don't even know it is running on my system.

I suggest you try the free version offered by Comcast:
