Windows XP is obsolete and no longer supported by Microsoft. It was full of security holes! Thats well documented. Time to upgrade the O/S friend

Please make sure your facts are correct before you post. Windows XP is still supported and will be until EOL on April 8, 2014.

Norton good news

Sunday October 20, 2013 14:47

Norton antivirus crashes on XP.

Symantek solution is to run Norton Power Eraser followed by Norton Removal Tool.

Microsoft security baloon warns that computer is now unprotected video.

Our temporary solution is to reinstall Norton with Comcast download, then run a full system scan.

Norton reinstall on destop appears to have NAV working properly again.

NAV hit so bad with virus that best solution was in unstall, then reinstall?

Symantec recently highlighted Flash for having one of the worst security records in 2009.

[Problems with NAV started directly after downloading Adobe Flash player.]

Comcast we hope finds out.

Comcast Norton Security Suite hit by static.salesresourcespartners virus

Attention Comcast.

If your current anti-virus solution let this infection through, you may want to consider purchasing the PRO version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to protect against these types of threats in the future.

malwarebytes alert

Malwarebytes works for us.  But learned that it trashed a windows 7 laptop which required reinstallation of OS.

Preloaded OS is a bad idea. Reinstallation may be required.

HighjackThis also recommened but with same warning.

Malware terrifies us.
