Hi VAK2, to turn off the "closed caption" feature please press the down arrow on your remote and then scroll to the left to "CC" and press the "OK" button. You can also go to menu and click on "settings" or the gear icon then scroll down to "Device settings" there you will find the "closed caption" option please click "OK" to turn it off.

on the voice remote say "caption"  or hit 'down' button and navigate to the 3 dot cluster on the left side (the 3rd is CC) and hit the OK button.
